Nestled within the historic castle of Ioannina, Hagiati Guesthouse is a hidden gem in one of the quietest and most enchanting corners of the city. The seven charming rooms, each adorned with traditional hand-painted wooden ceilings, offer a cozy retreat fully equipped with modern amenities. My partner and I enjoyed the comfortable bedding and peaceful atmosphere, perfect for a serene night's sleep after exploring the nearby historic citadel and Byzantine museum.One of the highlights of our stay was the daily breakfast served by the fireplace in the beautifully decorated lounge. It provided a delightful start to our days, fueling us for walks through the ancient castle town and indulging in the abundant gastronomic delights the region has to offer. The stone-paved courtyard added a touch of charm, creating a tranquil space to unwind and soak in the ambiance of this historic setting.Being centrally located, we found it easy to explore the city on foot, discovering the inside walls, countless galleries, and vaults of the castle just a stone's throw away. The attentive hotel staff made sure our stay was seamless, offering room service and recommendations for local attractions and dining options. Hagiati Guesthouse exceeded our expectations, providing a perfect blend of history, comfort, and warm hospitality. It was truly a memorable experience that we would recommend to anyone looking to immerse themselves in the rich heritage of Ioannina.
